We recently built Anita Grace, a chat bot that provides information about the GHCI Student Scholarships. This was very well received by AnitaB India following which we did a quick video sharing our experience.
Here’s our chat bot

Here’s our video and demo on Anita Grace
And here’s our website on Anita Grace

Now given the response we received from AnitaB India, I was wondering what the President and CEO of AnitaB had to say about this. So I tweeted to Brenda Darden Wilkerson about Anita Grace and guess what, she replied 🙂
Looks like she loved it!
AnitaB is one of those organisations I really look up to. And this was one of those #fangirl moments for me. I mean, one might think what’s the big deal, it was just a tweet but the kind of validation this one tweet drove home was immense. That single tweet from her shot up my spirit and confidence.
So our Nikita was fascinated by how this happened. Drawing inspiration from how I tweeted, Nikita also tweeted to Brenda!
Nikita is a GHC scholar this year. She’ll be going to the US this September to attend the conf. and really has a chance to meet Brenda! She tweeted to Brenda about her excitement to attend GHC along with a screenshot of her selection the conference.
And guess what, Brenda RT’d her tweet!
#fangirl moment yet again.
This was quite an experience! And my biggest realisation is that today, all you need is 140 characters to communicate with any leader you look up to.
A single tweet is all we need to reach them and I don’t see any reason why we shouldn’t give it a try!
Do give it a try and share your story!
